Aim
To promote the emotional health and well-being of all members of the school community within a positive and nurturing ethos
Definition: Emotional Health & Well-being
Emotional and spiritual resilience that enables us to enjoy life, survive pain, disruption and sadness and cope successfully with change. It is a positive sense of well-being and an underlying belief in our own dignity and worth (MIND, 1998)
Minimum evidence required:
- Anti-Bullying Policy
- Behaviour Management Policy
- Stress Management Policy, if relevant
- Trauma/Critical Incident Policy, if relevant
- Emotional Literacy Policy, if relevant
- Emotional health issues highlighted within the PSHE/Citizenship curriculum and/or relevant cross-curricular links
- Evaluations from visiting speakers sessions – samples if available
- Family Links information, if relevant
- Relevant needs assessment forms and/or personal development plans – samples
- Copies of relevant training attended/ evaluations
