Healthy Eating 

Healthy eating is about maintaining a balanced diet. This means eating foods from all the different food groups in the right amounts.

Physical Activity 

Physical activity is defined as any force exerted by skeletal muscle that results in energy expenditure above resting level and includes the full range of human movement, from competitive sport and exercise to active hobbies, walking and cycling or activities of daily living (DH 2004).

When a school promotes positive emotional health and wellbeing, pupils can better understand and express their feelings. This builds their confidence and emotional resilience and therefore their capacity to learn.
