Brockham School

Peer Mediation

Cardinal Newman Catholic Primary School

Social and Emotional Aspects of Learning (SEAL)

The SEAL resources are very easy to use, and all teachers have agreed that the materials are excellent. The school library features books that are linked to different part of the SEAL programme.

Danetree Junior School

School Mediators

This is a new project. Pupils were selected on the basis of an application form and then provided with appropriate support/training, which they found to be very helpful. Pupils wear green bibs when on duty at break time and lunchtime. They were able to talk openly about bullying and had some innovative suggestions such as a ‘bullying box’ which they hoped to take forward.

Hawkedale Infants - A Foundation School

Massage in Schools Programme

Hawkedale pupils have been enjoying a new 'Nurturing Touch' programme, where they have learnt a formal massage routine and related activities that build kinaesthetic learning into the curriculum.

Shalford Infant School

Social and Emotional Aspects of Learning (SEAL)

All year groups to follow the SEAL programme, which has been really successful since it began a couple of years ago. All of the teachers were very positive about the impact of SEAL on their classes. They agreed that it had helped to improve behaviour and communication between the pupils. The parents are kept up to date with the SEAL programme through afternoon and evening Curriculum meetings and the half term class newsletters.
