PSHE/Drama

This unit of work sets the scene for all the curriculum material relating to Road Safety.  It explores the fact that adolescence is a period of growth, exploration and therefore risk taking.  The unit develops a variety of questions through PSHE and or Drama, such as:

Are you a risk taker?
Do risks have consequences?
Who is responsible when a risk is taken?

It then looks at various case studies and reinforces the above questions relating risk taking to issues of Road Safety.  The final 2 lessons move pupils from PSHE to Citizenship related questions of Government responsibility versus personal freedom of choice
