| The catering staff and lunchtime supervisors have been particularly supportive and pro-active in improving lunchtimes for children. There is a popular Salad Bar. There are many ways to encourage good behaviour with lunchtime buddies, sunshine badges, award slips and display boards has been well organised and enthusiastically taken up. The lunchtime staff are appreciative of the support given to their initiatives by the links with assembly times when recognition and praise is given for good lunchtime behaviour. The lunchtime staff initiate, organise and supervise a variety of play activities including a ‘chill and spill’ area in the playground for children wanting a quiet area. Many children commented that they appreciated the many play choices available to them. |
